A brief introduction about me
I am a Social Media Manager at a furniture company. I moved to Southern California eight years ago and I’m in love with this fascinating area. I am a food, music, and travel lover. I got my Bachelor’s degree from Swinburne University of Technology in Australia and my Master’s degree from Bristol University in Southern California. I’m currently practicing my Buddhism by chanting the mantras everyday and eating vegetarian at least 2 days in a month.
My born-to-do-business root
I come from a family with business background and I was lucky to help my family at the very young age. We used to have an apparel company making shirts, t-shirts, jeans, and accessories. This is the reason why when I was studying at Swinburne, I quickly made a decision of choosing Marketing as my major. The clients’ project assignments at Swinburne enabled me to access the real world experience which helped me leverage my skills to get ready for my career path.
My love for digital marketing
I guess I was one of the very first Vietnamese using Facebook in early 2007. I was greatly impressed by how Facebook engaged the audience. When Facebook started launching the fan page for business, I had a good chance of presenting how social media has been growing and leaving a huge impact on marketing strategies as well as the business. The marketing and advertising requires me to expose myself into graphic design (My major is not graphic design though). I quickly adapt myself into this interesting field and I understand how “A picture can speak a thousand words” especially in the digital marketing industry.
Being an active user on social media channels, I understand how challenging it is to manage these channels at their best. Therefore, my goal is to get you in the loop with all of the latest and most relevant social media and business trends and point out the implications, evaluations, and applications that suit your best needs.
